PDA, Production Direction Advertising, opened its doors in 1987. It was named after its owner's title at almost every broadcast facility where he worked, Production Director. Our office was in the old Ticor Title Building downtown with our studio located in the upper valley of El Paso. Our Concept to be an advertising agency specializing in Radio where we would have our own audio production facilities and not depend on outside studios or stations to do the work. Since there were no scheduling problems, it saved a lot of time.

Also since everything was kept in house, the client would save money as well. Back then our studio used multi-track Tascam equipment, utilizing Shure mics, and Sony digital audio recorders, including remote equipment so Clients could do their own voice over from the comfort of their own place of business.
|
 |
However, there was a need for television and our TV production studio was built in the early 90s. Our main focus was to work on short notice and get the product to the stations quickly, often within 24 hours. This was something the stations couldn't match and we had found our nitch. Also in the early 90s we moved to Executive Center, Right down the hall from 93-Z, later KLAQ moved in.

Keeping up with the advancements in digital television and audio, we were able to do production in our office as well as at our Upper Valley Studio. Stu Kellogg, PDA's owner not only did production work for our clients, but provided services to various stations and agencies as well, including voiceovers.

In fact, our videos for the El Paso Symphony and Animal rescue league have both won ADDY awards. Our first ADDY awards where won back in 1989 for "Border Yamaha" and "Just for Fun". Beside other honors, PDA had won a national video award for the "El Paso Association of Home Builders".

Today, we can still get a spot out quickly and inexpensively. In many cases, a spot delivered to the TV stations on Beta SP can be had for just $300, which includes copywriting and voice-over.

See our rate sheet for details. Even spots including impressions (Stu's specialty) can be done, from a spot featuring Bill Clinton as a used car salesman for Sunland Park, Buick, Pontiac and GMC, to Arnold pushing garage doors with the "Insulator."
